Yeah, My 95 had this problem. It is usually illegal to tell someone how to disengage a safety device. The sensor is on the pedal somewhere and attached to the firewall. It should be like the brake light switch. I would clean it first. Spray wd-40 or elevtric clean on it. Push harder on the clutch. I just had to push harder on mine to fix it.

One time when one of my batteries was going dead I kept having a problem like that. Sometimes the car would start fine, other times there would be power through the first couple clicks and then when I turn the last click to start it was dead... NOTHING.
All I had to do was get out and jiggle the positive lead on the battery a little bit and all was well.
As soon as I got around to replacing the battery I neer had the problem again.

When you have problmes starting, put you head lights on high beam.

If your head lights get very dim when you try to start the car, you have a power issue. (as in bad battery, or bad battery connection)

If they stay nice an bright the whole time, you have plenty of power but it's not getting to the starter for some reason.

It's also possible that you have plenty of power, and that it is getting to the starter, but the starter it bad.
