Hello all, I have a 97 GP GT with 203,000 miles on it, no huge problems yet, wheel bearings and small stuff like that are some of the things I have had to deal with. But what I was wondering was has anyone else had a GP that starts to rust out right under the Gas fill door ? on mine, it looks like someone has tried to patch it before, but it is rusting though again. I was just wondering if it was a common area for rust to start on them or what.
Also, I just wanted to say that I love this place, im hooked!

I started to notice mine doing that recently. I'm careful to try not to get gas on the paint, but I guess it happens sometime. I've been trying to figure out what I want to do about it.

I have a 98 Grand Prix GT and mine had a decent rust spot exactly where your describing when i purchased it. The fellow at the auto body said it was the product of moisture trapped in a seal on the inside, and tends to happen a lot. Ended up being a $450 job to patch.

I have just a little tiny spot starting to show. Hopefully I can get it before it turns into a metal eating monster...... BTW I know 2 other people with a Grand Prix and they have the same thing.
