Two Problems with My 1998 GMC 1500

#1. I have leaks on both sides of my cab underneath the dashboard on the floor. Not sure if its a bad seal with my windshield but I know that on the passenger side its leaking within my heater fan and on the driver side it seems to be more right along the A-post. Anyone have the same problem?

#2. My delay on my interior light doesnt seem to be working. I shut my door and the light stays on with anticipation of it eventually going off but it never happens. Right now I have to use my override button to just shut it off so I wont have a dead battery in the morning. Any clue on how to fix this problem as well?

#1 I had the same problem with water leaking in on the passenger side. It came out of fan area and dripped right on the top part of the floor mat. I pulled the fan out and with a mirror found where it was leaking from. There are screws that hold the black,fin-like, plastic air intake along the outside bottom of the windshield. The end caps have one screw and then pop off. But under the hood, you'll find a few more and the one that is right over the fan intake, was loose. I pulled it out and cleaned the area and used silicone when I put the screw back in. It hasn't leaked since. Could be the same situation on the drivers side?

Not sure about problem #2, sorry
