Right side front axle shaft removal

I have a 95 Cherokee with a bad U joint on the right side of the front axle. I have removed the brakes and the pin and locknut on the hub, and the three bolts holding the hub on. I can't get the hub off so I can remove the shaft to make the repair. It won't budge. I did the left side with no problem. Am I missing somthing? Also How do I tell if I have a bad Hub? I am getting some humming noise, but I'm not sure where it's coming from. Would a real bad U joint cause all the noise or should I look for somthing else? The Jeep has 150,000 miles on it.

Thanks
Paul

You might need a puller.

Hubs can be a problem. You know how it all comes apart. Try using lots of PB Blaster oil on it and a hammer to loosen it. Spray it good with the PB and let it sit for awhile, tap all around it with the hammer. Try putting the bolts back in a few threads and tap them. Ive had trouble getting mine off in the past, all it took was some time and effort. After you get it off, smear some antiseize compound around the mating surface and it will be much easier to get off next time.

I just did the right and left side of my 96. In order to get the wheel bearing housing or hub off ya need a big hammer and alot of beer in stock. I beat on both sides for about an hour or a six pack per side. One warning when your ready to put everything together don't over torque the 3 bolts that hold them on. I snapped one off!!:banghead:
