Where is the hole at between the filter and engine or before the filter and the outside air. I would do nothing if it is not between the engine and filter. If it is between this. Can it be either taped or find one at ebay or a junk yard. All this does it keep dust out of the system. Remember when replacing your filter system your MAF must be kept intact. If it is removed or altered it could cause damage to the engine and will not let it run good.

You can get a replacement from Napa, Auto Zone, or Advance for about $50. When mine developed cracks I sealed it with silicone. Worked good.

silicone sounds good. it doesnt start to melt though from the heat? i went to walmart and bought this stuff that is like sticky tape on one side and like aluminum foil on the other i thought it would be best cause iitd reflect heat, but now it is losing its stickiness and i can tell more air is getting in cause itll try to stall out sometimes from too much air and not enough fuel when at a stop

There is not much heat on a intake tube. Prob less than 100 degress. If you are worried about that get some high temp stuff.
