I cant seem to figure out what the hell is going on in the rear of my GT-S. It sounds like I got a flat tire, but its not flat and it isn't wobbling like its gonna fall off, but I can definitly feel a slight thumping\ vibration when I drive. My brakes are doing wierd things also. Sometimes there is a buzzing\zapping sound like an electrical short circuitwhen I use the brakes. It isnt all the time, but occasionally. The pads are worn, but not really close to being ready to replace so I'm kinda stumped. As for the sound coming from the tire, do the wheel bearings make a noise like that if they need greased? I thought it might be a warped rotor, but it doesnt really sound like it. Any ideas? Thanx in advance.

Did you check the tire for belt separation?

Move the rear tires to the front and see if the vibration stays in the rear or moves to the front. If it moves, time for new tires, or at least one if you can figure out which one is bad and you can match them.

I found out today what the problem is. The lower control arm is banging against the frame. There is a bushing that is worn almost completely out and therefore making an a$$load of noise and vibration from the rear. I do have a question about how safe can this be to drive on. It doesnt seem like its gonna cause an accident because it has done this since before I drove it off the lot back in Jan. If it is an unsafe vehicle though, I hope those guys at the dealership wanna fix it for me because it was in fact like this before I bought it. My 2 kids ride in it almost everyday and if I was to have an accident because of it, I would own that car lot. They told me it was the muffler bangin against the bumper and I told them that wasnt it but they insisted it was so I'm probably gonna have to fork out another 200 bucks just for the part. I guess its my bad for taking so long to have it diagnosed. Sorry for the long ass post I just wanted to vent a little lol. any replies would be appreciated.

im pretty sure you can just replace the bushing, for the meantime you can try to fill it with epoxy but i would only use that for temporary use, alot of poeple fill motor mounts with this stuff, im sure itll work for that, just cant rembmer what its called...just gto kragen and ask for an epoxy

OK I also found out that the rear wheel wobbles like crazy! does anyone know if I can replace just the wheel bearings or will I have to replace the entire hub?
The dealership here said I cant get just the wheel bearings. Also will any other cars hub work on it? I've googled it and everything but I'd rather have the opinion of the pros on here. hehe. Any extra input would be appreciated.

Well, I ordered the new hub assembly last Fri. and it cam yesterday. I got to tearin it apart and realized I had the wrong part:banghead: I asked the seller on ebay if it was the one for ABS and he said it was, but there is nowhere for the ABS sensor to plug in so he either lied or shipped me the wrong part. Oh well everyone always complains about ebay sellers being rip offs but it had never happened to me till now. F%#k it I went ahead and put it on and it does actually work, I just have a ABS and BRAKE light on on the console. The ABS still works for all wheels though which I though wouldnt be the case. I would've sent it back but I haven't been able to drive it for about 2 weeks and I needed it by Monday so it'll have to do.:disappoin
