okay, yesterday I was removing my old radiator and installing a new one. everything came off just fine except for the transmission line located near the lower hose. I eventually just broke off the part attached to the radiator, for the new radiator comes with a new one anyways. I noticed that the way the radiator connects to the transmission line is you just slide it in, and these little tabs then click over the extended part and holds it into place. But I can't seem to depress the tabs enough to remove the part out of. Is there a secret to removing it, or a special tool involved. I can't do anaything until i disconnect it and reconnect the line to my new radiator. It is a factory replaced radiator. 98 xj 4.0 with 4wd. thanx Also it is an automatic.

I do recall a tool that you might need for the pipe...but can't remember what it looks like. They do that so they can do assembly quickly, but you need a tool to disconnect.
I think it is a sleeve thing that goes around the pipe that you stick into the fitting that will release it.
I will look at my 97 Model Year tommorrow.
