Need help trying to get to the bulbs in my 95 regal.
The ones in the rear window.
There is a carpeted piece surrounding the fixture, but it does not seem to want to come off without a lot of force so I am hesitant to force it.
I can feel some wires from in the trunk, but there is no feasible way to get at the bulbs from there....
So what am I missing?
thanks for any help

Welcome to AF.
Are you sure the lamps are not accessible from the trunk under the package shelf frame? Not sure about the 95 model but on '97 and up we can replace the lamps for the third brake light from the trunk. There are two lamps in sockets that twist off.

I will have to double check, but I couldn't see anything...all I could do was feel a couple wires in a hole... not really sure what I was touching.
thanks for the input.

for anyone else running into this problem you can NOT change these lights from the trunk.
The carpeted cover piece is held on by two plastic "bolts" for the lack of a better term that are simply pushed into a hole.
They need to be pryed out and up with the cover from the shelf.
After that there are two clips...one on either side of the housing that hold the bulbs. I had to break a piece of the "carpet shelf" to get the housing out, but it will not show when the cover is replaced so no biggie.
