The Temp guage on my 95 LT1 pegged on hot from the time you turn the key, is there a sensor some were that needs replaced?

Yep souds like the sending unit iwre is burned through and grounded. Check on the left side between cylinder 1 and 3. Normally a green wire on older motors, not too sure on LT1's

IIRC, the gauge temperature sender on a '95 is incorporated into the same body as the CTS. If the wire isn't grounded, but the sender terminal is, it's time to replace the sensor.

You're probably right, that' s why I mentioned I wasn't too overly sure about on a LT1. But, same general concept is what I was trying for.

You're right about the green wire, and all they did was merge the two devices into one unit, like the oil pressure sender/switches. I'm never too sure, either. That's why I mentioned "if I recall correctly"...

The CTS stands for Coolant Temperature Sensor - the sending unit and sensor are one unit on the LT1 cars. Located on the driver side cylinder head between cylinders 1 and 3.
