Easy Cruise Control?

Hi,
Anyone know if it's just a matter of fitting an aftermarket universal cruise control switch to get the cruise working?
Everything seems to be there already (clutch switch, connection on the steering column etc).
It's a 2001 Frontera (rodeo) 2.2 diesel with "fly by wire" throttle.
