you guys seem to know a lot about models, so i figure if anyone will know it will be you guys. I have heard that Mitsubishi has some licensing problem so no Eclipse models exist, is tis true? And the bigger question, i own a Mazda MX-6 and would kill for a model of one, does one exist, or is there a company that makes models custom? I want this model so bad you don't understand, any help on either question would be mucho appreciated.

Sorry dude. There aren't any plastic models of either car. I haven't seen an MX-6 ever. As for the Eclipse, Revell is supposedly coming out w/ a metal body model this fall. It will be based on the Fast and Furious green one.

As for the licensing problem, I would say that it only exists outside of Japan. In Japan, there are models made of practically all of their cars and trucks (GTO, FTO, LanEvo, etc.) The Eclipse isn't popular at all in Japan so that's why there aren't any kits by Tamiya, Aoshima, or Fujimi.

Eclipse is a North America only car. I think the same goes with the MX-6 (it might be in Europe too). Most modelling companies that make models of Japanese cars (Tamiya, Fujimi, Aoshima, etc...) are all Japanese. They generally only make cars that are either a) made in Japan or b) popular in Japan. The Eclipse is neither. Sorry.... :(

Personally, I think both Eclipse and MX-6 are great looking cars, but I guess they weren't interesting enough to be a model subject.
My advice is to buy a car, which you can find a model of it. :)
