lowering a 4x4?..

ok heres the deal im thinking about lowering my 88 4x4 s-10 blazer but im not sure if i should im also wanting to put some rims on it but im not sure what size to put on it i was thinking 20" but im not sure if i can lol well enywayz im a newbie sumwhat so any help would be great thanx a lot!

Do a search on it. You should find some info to help you out.

I know that it has been said you are going to wear you ball joints out much faster with it lowered. So thats something to think about.

Personally I'd just get a 2wd frame for it and sell your rolling chassis

I understand that the only difference between a S10 and a S10 Blazer frame is the center cab mount which is 3" taller or shorter.
Although I've never looked at the 2 frames side by side.

There are a lot of good resources for lowering 4x4 trucks, be it just blocks or bagging..

Blocks or leafs in the rear and torsion bar tensioner bolts in the front you can do 2/3 drop i believe. Ive got 2"blocks int he rear i havent had time to get to the torsion bars. ANd i can fit 20" wheels with a 245/35/20 tire on the blazer. the tires will only be 26.7" tall.
