suburban heater problem

A few days ago the rear heater in my 2500 stopped blowing and whilst trying to find a fault to day i've found that.
The fuse is ok
Theres no power to the rear blower.
The wires into the front blower 2xblack 1xred were very hot, the the red one no longer went through the plug and had been re routed in the past due to the plug melting
Any suggestions please?
