problem with brakes 03 grand caravan

Is there anyone having problems with their brakes on their 02,03, or 04 grand caravan? My van is not even 3 years old, purchased new and has just gotten the brakes serviced for the 3rd time. The 1st 2 times the dealer resurfaced the rotors and now that it is no longer covered under the warranty has replaced the rotors and the brake pads. Note that there is only 22,000 miles on the van and the first problem with the rotors was 10 months after purchase at 8,000 miles. At 12,000 miles a caliper had to be replaced as well.

We have the same problem with our 2002 Town & Country. After turning and resurfacing the rotors, they had to be replaced with relatively little mileage. They are once again having problems and will probably have to be replaced again. We do not ride the brakes and most of the 106,000+ miles are highway. We do not drive fast and allow plenty of room braking room to avoid "hitting" the brakes in traffic. In fact, when driving in the mountainous areas, I know how to shift into lower gears when coming down steep grades to keep from burning out the brakes and (knock-on-wood) have never had a transmission problem with any of the vehicles I have owned. Of the vehicles I've owned over the years, the brakes (rotors) have been a huge headache with the minivans --1998 Ford Windstar and the 2002 T&C, with the Windstar the absolute worse. According to our mechanic, he says the problem will continue until Chrysler (and others) upgrades the braking system in these minivans to "truck" grade. In other words, some of these larger and heavier minivans such as the GC and the T&C do not have adequate braking power.
