Thanks, that what drew me to him at the shelter as a puppy. LOL the staff told me they thought he was part lab and husky. I think he's more Rotty and Husky than Lab.

yeah he does look more like a rot than a lab. let me add that going to the shelter for a pet is an awesome thing to do.:)

You guys wanna see something kinda freaky? If the devil took the form of a husky, I'm pretty sure this it what he'd look like.

No thats not my dog but I always remember that picture. I'll get some pics of my pets up in a second.

Here's my 2 dogs, Dottie and Shadow. Shadow is a black lab and I honestly don't know what the hell Dottie is. A chow mix I think.

And this is Monty.

Taking this from my dad's myspace. Yes, my dad has a myspace account, but that's beside the point.

Sally is a Chow and Black Lab mix. Most of her is Chow, but she has the temper of the lab. We shave her during the summer because of the heat. She kindof looks like a goat the first couple weeks till her hair starts to grow back out.

Not to get this off topic, but I am amaze to see so many cats in the cars and out in the yard. Don't they go away? My cats are dying to leave the house. One already ran away and I found him two weeks later. I find it amazing that the cats shown are so well behaved in staying put.
BTW nice pics everyone,
I especially love that pic of CavLCD128's dog on the chair. :grinyes:

hmmm I should create a pet corner section since so many of these thread pop up every once in a while.

Well the reason my cat isnt going anywhere. He is on a leash. My gf thought it would be fun to "try and take him for a walk". Turns out cats dont like walking. We didnt get past the yard so we turned it into a photoshoot. Even when we didnt touch the leash he never really went anywhere though.

If you let cats out regularly they'll always come back. Especially when their food and water bowls are in the garage. But they gotta have a place to call home, so if you raised them and they're used to you and your home, they'll always come abck sooner or later.

I've had a cat like that. It's cool because they take care of themselves unlike dogs. If you just let your dog out the front door you'd never know what's going to happen. They'd roam around until they were 5 miles from home and them shit themselves. Then stand in the middle of the street with no instincts to look out for cars. Cats are awesome. You can let them out by themselves any time. Except there are of course some cats who are strictly house cats.

My current cat (JJ) was a stray my Godmother picked up and kinda donated to me.

I had been keeping him inside b/c I got him about 2 years ago in May, and I kept him inside until last summer b/c I wanted him to have a better chance of making it on his own if he ran away. My dad and I took him outside together the first few times we did let him out. He is a scaredy-cat, and was afraid of the sun, birds, etc. but he loves going outside now. He'll even wait outside for me, and when he sees my car coming down the street he'll go sit by the door to come back inside with me.

I never understood the whole cats-on-leashes thing... they can handle themselves.
