I have a 2000 Accord EX and the 1-2-3 knob on the AC light is out. I know its not just on dim or a fuse is blown b/c the other temp control (colder/hotter) knob works. The buttons that control the direction of the air are out also. Is this a common problem, and can someone please tell me how to fix this. Thanx
**oh yeah all of the panel lights (tachometer, needles, blinker, etc)work fine

Welcome to the forum!
I do not know what you are describing here: mine 99 is different. But have you checked all the fuses? It might be on a separate circuit.

Thanks for welcoming me. I am new to this sort of thing probably y i didnt explain it too well. But it's actually the fan control dial (off, 1-2-3) on my ac, at night it does not light up. It's completely dark unlike the Temp control dial on the other side (red/blue). Also the recirculation button and the mode buttons (the stick people) dont light up. When I press one to turn it on the orange/green whatever color it is light above comes on but the actual buttons dont anymore.
I tried checking the fuses but I was not too certain which one(s) to look at it doesnt say specifically in the manual. Could it be something other than a fuse maybe a bulb or something since the other dial works?

If I remember it right: when the light above the recirculation button is on - the recirculation is off. It means that the outside air is not comming in. If it is off - the outside air is comming in.
I hope I answered that question for you.
For the fan speed control dial I do not really know. Probably this is just a bulb. But I have never taken it apart. Sorry.
One more thought. Try pulling fuses out one at a time. And then put the fuse back. This way you eliminate the possibility of poor contact. While the fuse is out make sure it is good (visually and physically: with a tester).
By the way my 99 LX has two fuse pannels. Have you checked them both?
