Have a 1998 Chevy S10 that has developed a vibration in it. Usually is bad when i am in gears 1 thru 3. Once i hit 4th and 5th it goes away. Is it possible my tranny bolts are loose or broken? the vibration continues even after i take it out of gear and coast to a stop. thanks for any ideas you all may have.

you could be loosing a bearing, or a main. I had an 89 that did that, but i sold it to get rid of the headaches it was giving me. my best guesses are either main beraring or maybe even check your u-joints, they like to vibrate pretty good before they go.

I heard that some older engines like mine didn't get quite enough oil to rear main bearing unless filled 1" above full mark, with synthetic.

I had vibration that was loose or missing tranny to engine upper bolts and one broke tranny mount, which also wore out engine mount rubbers.
