Helo all,
I drive a '00 Intrepid and my girlfriend drives a '02 Sebring Convertible. I keep a copy of her key on my keychain. The other day I started my car and started to drive away when I noticed my airbag light was on. Then I noticed my power windows, turn signals, and radio didn't work. I thought I maybe blew a fuse. I pulled over and noticed I had started my car with her key. Has anyone ever heard of this or know anything about this?
Thank you.

I haven't however due to the similarity of the cars, maybe your gf's key is a valet key and thus partially works for your car. I have no idea, pretty strange. Bleed may be able to answer it for you, otherwise I would just call a dodge dealer.

yes i seen this before and the reason your electrical failed was probably due to the key not returning all the way back from start to run position

Thank you for the info.
I brought it to a dealership and was told the same thing. The key does not return to the run position.
Weird!

I use to use my B210 key in my friends 280Z. My key wouldn't fit perfectly, but it would work.
To make life easier my boyfriend keyed my Volvo the same as his Volvo. This way I wouldn't have a bulky keyring, and I didn't have to figure out which key to use in a dark parking lot.
