Wipers won't work in the rain ('00 SE)

Yup thats right, when I need them they do squat. When its dry they work fine. So I know its not the switch or motor. All I can think of is a bad ground somewhere or open wire that shorts out with the rain. RainX saved my ass this time, but I need to get it fixed ASAP. Anyone have any other suggestions/ideas? Or maybe ran into the same problem?
