ZC Swap Question...

Would my ECU work with the ZC block, bolted up to my stock Si tranny??

yep, if you also have a si engine.

k awesome, would my stock Si axles also work with the ZC? and if i have a torn CV boot, can i just get another boot or do i need the whole axle replaced?

You can get a new boot, but depending on how long the axle has been like that, it might be very wise to replace the whole thing.

if your axles are still original i would just replace em. is is the dohc zc or the sohc zc? what ecu?

I'd say just go to autozone and trade in your torn axle as a core and get yourself a new one...plus you can take advantage of their lifetime warranty. Dont really waste your time putting on a new boot..its probably more costly and takes more time than getting a whole new axle. Just make sure you buy the right ones.

your axle's dont work with your engine they work with your tranny, so if your keeping the si tranny then.......

so then if i get new axle's they won't work with the tranny? wtf?? So i wouldn't be able to only swap in a ZC block?

you first said you were going to bolt a zc engine on to a si tranny, you axles dont have anything to do with what engine you have they just plug into your tranny so as long as you have your tranny you can keep your axles.

He sayin if you have the ZC tranny then your si axles wont work. You'll need the 2nd gen integra axles. I agree with crxperiment. Replace the whole axle for an extra 10 bucks or so.

Are you using an si trans? Or are you using the ZC trans? If you are using your old si trans then buy 88-91 civic/crx DX or Si axles (Part number 7039 at autozone; trust me ive been there). If however your gonna bolt up a ZC trans to your block buy 90-91 teg non-abs axles and use and intermediate shaft off the same year teg.
