GT To GTP

I'm sure this question is asked all the time but what do you need to make a GTP? I figure you need The supercharger, Fuel injectors, Intake, Mass air sensor, Throttle cable bracket, And Throttle body(?). What else can you do to get power after the supercharger? Will the tranny be ok? Any advice would be great.

Yes, old question and asked quite often.

Add re-programmed PCM module, some wiring harness mods, L67 cylinder heads and the supercharger drive belt tensioner and pulley system. For tranny the L67 GTP has a beefier differential and passenger side axle half shaft.

And to top it off, premium fuel.

Lynn, the wise moderator of our forums, has provided a permanent thread at the top of the Grand Prix forums that addresses this issue, did you not see it? He and Bnaylor (the Grand Prix and GTP guru and wise moderator in his own right) are probably developing carpal tunnel from all the typing of responses to this question.

We have a lot of talk about it but I have never actually run into an L36 owner that has ever done the conversion. Not to say it has not been done. When you add up all the cost and time the turbo idea is much better.

Another option would be the ZZP M90 SS supercharger kit and certain parts. You could have a supercharged L36 for well under $2K. I understand it is pretty effective because of the higher compression ratio the L36 engine has over the L67 GTP. Also, it uses the regular serpentine belt drive system.
