i am looking at a 1991 300 TT, its black and new paint, the VIN checks out clean, the paint mathces origianl, it has a wings west body kits, custom rear valence, GREDDY cat-back, 2 1/2" lip Borbett 5 spoke rims, eibach 1" lowering kit and looks pretty clean. it has problems as would any car thats 11 yrs old and has 82,000 miles. nothing major, the owner doesnt know if it went in for the 60,000 mile tune up or not because he ownly owned for a 1 year now. Do you think i will run into any major problems with the car? i plan on using it as a daily driver putting a bout 15,000 a year on it. Also im getting a Blitz BOV, turbo timer, and Blitz filters to add some HP and keep the turbos living longer. Im only 16 and have FINALLY saved engouh money for the car, (no help from parents) and i have enough to pay insurance with my salary too. the guy is askin $13000 but hes negotiable, what do you think? good or bad deal, and how long do you think the car will live as a daily driver? thanx a lot

Hey you said you had enough to pay insurance, how much would that be exactly, i'm 16 also and am planning on buying a z32. I'm not worried about car price (well, no worried about finding one for my price limit) but insurance is a pretty big concern. It'll probably be under my parents name, and it'll only be liability. Thanks guys,

Luke :ylsuper:

Just to let you know, 300zx's are really expensive to maintain, especially the TT model. Also, insurance is BANK for this car if you get full coverage.

Somethings to look for before buying the car. Make sure the car is running smoothly, which means no rough idle or bouncy needle at idle. Also make sure no smoke comes out of the tailpipes because that is a good indication of serious car problems. And as always, check for oil leaks under the car. It's wise to set aside 3-5 thousand for any necessary maintenance or repairs.

Hell I know what you guys mean by insurance. I just bought a 92 300zx and the insurance for full coverage runs me about $2,500 for six months. I guess being in a 5 car accident and having several citations doesn't help.

Damn rates must be different where you all live. I'm from MO and I only pay like 120 a month full coverage and I have speeding tickets out the ass. But I have had them all taken care of. Still I'm only 20 so I haven't got my big insurace cut yet.

yups, I can totally comprehend. I'm originally from hawaii and now I'm in las vegas for school. There was a big insurance difference between hawaii and las vegas. Damn its expensive to drive in las vegas.
