So suddenly, I'm now having problems with clutch start switch.. Ya know how you're car won't start unless you press in the clutch all the way? Well it seems to be going out on me.

Where is this switch, should I just grab one from the junk yard?

Thanks
- Adam

if you look at your clutch, like get on the floor of your car, and you'll see a little bracket coming to the left side, and behind that theres a button, and thats it. I'll post pics later if you want.

Ok, thanks. I don't think I'll need the pictures, seems pretty simple.

does your car or did your car have an alarm, remote start, ect? shops bypass the switch to install the remote start. it makes sense that a car converted to manual wont have one because the automatic has a neutral safety switch in a different location(under the shifter usually). and if you replaced the ECU, all you would need to do is run the ignition circuit straight without going to the switch. all the neutral/clutch switch is is a open/close switch that closes the ignition circuit when its closed.

There is another thread where someone is having problems with his brake lights staying on. The plastic grommet that depresses the switch may be missing on your clutch pedal. Mine has that problem and I have yet to fix it(correctly). I just reach up under the dash and press the button with my thumb, then turn the ignition. Works kinda like a theft deterrent too. Mad max style ignition cutout!

mine does that. When I'm n my car and it's parked in 1st gear, I start my car with the clutch pedal pressed it still jerks forward and dies out lol. The prev. owner did some wiring so that I didn't need to use the clutch to start. But I find it odd that the jerking/dying hapens still with the clutch pressed on start up lol

you might want to look into that. Sounds like your clutch wouldnt be disengaging when your shifting also..
