legacy door lock

my door lock is stuck on lock setting and wont go back to unlock setting without forcing and holding it there to open the door wasup

Could be several things. Most likely is that something came loose and would be fairly obvious by pulling the door panel and looking. I've used zipties and dental floss on some of them. Another common problem has a fix via HobieGary:
