CD Player

EDIT: (forgot to mention) My friend wrote and had asked me to post:

2000 Malibu LS
"Everytime I stick in a CD it keeps coming back as "Errr". I put my ear to the radio, and it sounds like it's spinning the CD, and it's trying to read but it isnt. I bought one of those self-cleaning CDs, and inserted it probally a hundred times hoping to clean it, but it still continues to say "Errr". Should I just bite the bullet and get a replacement on E-bay?"
