My Turd of an '88

I have an '88 Hatchback with a few MODS: APC Cold Air Induction System, Flowmaster 40 Series muffler, body kit (not painted still primer gray), 12in aluminum spoiler, 17in Dubs, Crossdrill and Slotted front Rotors (Stock Drums), Dot 5.1 brake fluid, automatic tranny, NOS Sticker on rear window, bazooka tube subs, FULL Synthetic Motor Oil, 3in dropped (it's SLAMMED), Euro Tail lights, Carbon Fiber Mirrors, and Skull Shifter Knob. My main problem is, even with all of these mods my car is still running mid 17s. Any tips on how to make this complete TURD run any faster.

Get a bigger spoiler for more rear wheel downforce. Maybe a parachute?

First step is you gotta paint over the body kit primer- this way it'll be more aerodynamic and will probably net you in the 15s. Next you have to add more subs and make sure you blast the stereo when at the track- this way all the sound waves will make your car even more aerodynamic. Then just add a bigger spoiler and voila you have a 13 second car! PS make sure you know how to properly shift your auto tranny at the track...

NOS it definately! Keep doing bigger shots until you blow the head off it. At that point, you can get a new car and you'll already have a NOS system.

screw a N2o system... just buy a office duster can (the ones that blow air) and take a tube hold the can upsidedown and instant n2o purge if you place the tube in a good spot...
that adds 50hp
buy alot of vtec and sir stickers they add 10 hp each
the money shot is the front spoiler to match the rear one...put it on your hood in your line of sight...that will get you in the 9's fo sho!

If your after a light car, Ive got one of the lightest sitting in my back yard, 86 CRX Si....the lower models are lighter, but the thing is light as hell, just takes persuasion to put a different motor in it.
