I thought it'd be easy to change my transmission oil in my 2004 Denali, but it aint!
I can't get the pan all the way off the truck as it is hitting the exhaust pipe and the transmission shifter cable bracket.
Has anyone figured this out? Care to give any advice?
Thanks

Scott,
When I took the pan off on my 4wd 2000 Yukon, I had to drop the front drive shaft and remove the shifter cable bracket to get the pan off.
The shifter cable bracket is a torix bolt and I can't remember the size.
I would start with the shifter bracket since that will probably give you enough clearance to get the pan off.

if you have a lift, you can leave the drive shaft, and just remove the linkage. I couldn't do it in the driveway.
