Decal Paper, HELP!!

I just got decal paper from Detail Master in the mail. What is the best way for the colors to show up in the decal? It says print then clear coat or use a color copier. If anyone has used this stuff, help would be appreciated. If it helps the car body is red.

A friend of mine, after printing decal with a color inkjet printer, airbrush Microscale Liquid Decal Film on the decal paper. This goes on like a clear coat, & gives the decals a nice shine.
