Now that is a great conversion.

That scratchbuilt chassis is fantastic. Does the suspension work?

It looks like a frog in that last pic.

Nice where/how did you make the beadlocks, and where did you get the BFG Baja T/A's?

Thanks guys,
The suspension does not work although I may in the future do a working suspension VW?

The bead locks were made by one of my friends and given to me.
The BFG's come from the Burago Die cast Schlesser Dakar buggy.(out of production)
I have been trying to get someone to cast them forever.

Top notch scratchbuilding. The colour you chose for the frame is perfect as is the suspension. It looks so clean and functional I would think it works also. The fuel filler spout is great also, looks like real metal. A truly great model you have made here and one of a kind.

This is amazing. If you don't tell me I would have assumed this is a conversion and not scratch built.

The body was converted to look more "thing" like.
The rest is scratch built.
Here is what the kit looked like.

Thanks everyone for the nice words.
The filler/dry break is real metal. It's a gold plated electrical connector form somewhere?.
The cage is all built from evergreen styrene rod,if anyone is interested I have many in progress pics of the chassis and body.
Thanks again for the comments.

Wow that looks fantastic... making an entire chassis from scratch looks like a lot of work, and yours looks perfect. Nice job.

Your chassis fabrication is awesome! I love this and the Beetle you did a while back. Your builds are inspiring, and like I've said before, make me very excited to get to work on my own prerunner baja-style truck, which I finally got the kit for. Please share your work with us more, and if possible, share some progress for that chassis/cage. It is immaculate.
