So, is anyone here on facebook?

I just got an account because i'm going to university next year. For those that don't know, facebook is sort of like myspace but geared towards university/college students and is more for university stuff instead of crying online. it also lacks the sexual predators that rome myspace as 14 year old girls

Everyone I know at school is on facebook. No exaggeration. EVERYONE

For that reason I refuse to sign up. I go to the internet to escape the people I know, not give them new ways to find me.

im on it. it just sits there though really. i switch between myspace and facebook, on which one i use more. right now its myspace. but yeah, im on there

im on it... it use to be the junk in august-february. but not so much. i'm one of the few people who enjoys declining friend requests. I only have people i know on my friends list. by "people i know" i mean people i have at least made eye contact with :)

i'm on it. its basically an online adress book that i can occasionally give random shout outs in.

Got it, literally less than a week ago. I was drunk in the a.m. talking to a friend and he convinced me to get it but yeah, only friends I have are people I talk to on a regular basis.

^facebook's been around for a while. fuck conformity, do what you want to do. the thing about myspace, though, is its SOOO buggy, and its so goddamn annoying to navigate. plus, the amount of "personalization" it allows somehow creates "myspace whores" or "myspace addicts" which piss me off at times. Honestly, its just an online address book you can drop a line n say hello with. if you're arguing about being in your friend's "top 8", you've got issues.

I have a friend at school that has become the biggest goddamn facebook/myspace junkie! Whenever I hear her mention one of the sites I wanna slap her brains out of her skull!!!!! :comprage:

She was on my case for so long telling me how I need to get on just to see what its like and I'll probably love it. I created a myspace account and I've been on it three times ever. Two of those were to grant requests for her and another girl to add them as my "friends". We're already friends in real life you asswipe! Why do I need the internet to remind me!?!?!?!

Sorry to rant, but this whole online populatiry contest (which is exactly what myspace and facebook have become) pisses me off to no end. Some people actually use them to keep in touch with people they might otherwise lose contact with. But the vast majority use it to get their friend count up simply in order to feel better about themselves and prove their dominance over other e-whores.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to ge my post count up to 3,000 by the end of the day :wink:

yeah, facebook and myspace has allowed me to find some lost friends. hopefully if they keep it updated at least 3 times a year, ya wont lose touch. lol
