S15 Tail Light

I screwed up like I always do w/ clear parts. I busted the left side tail light for my Nissan S15 Silvia right in half. I glued it carefully back together but it still looks like shit. What are my realistic options here? I figure that they are 1) go w/ the busted one and make it as best as I can, 2) cast a new one (vac-u-form maybe?) from another kit (means I have to order a new Silvia kit), 3) order a new one from Fujimi (fat chance...), or 4) loose my mind and go crazy. Anyone out there have any advice, tips, etc.? I would like to avoid option 4 if at all possible. :angryfire :newburn:

:( Sorry, man.

Any pics of the damage? What kind of glue did you use to put it back together?

Do you have a local hobby shop? Ask them if they have a contact for Fujimi; sometimes they can get you spears that way...

Contact the distributer, they should be able to send replacements. I once had to replace the decals from a kit and they sent it out no problem in UK.

Each country will have a distributer so they should speak your language:D

The annoying thing about they UK distributer is that they only import a handful of the fujimi kits coz they believe there is no market here for most of the car kits.

Sorry, no pics of the damage b/c I didn't get that digicam yet. I used Testors clear plastic glue, so that's not the problem. Its the big fat crack running right down the middle. I got the kit from hlj.com. I think I'll have to find the 'official' US distributer. Maybe its Marco Polo Imports? Who knows. I'm on a mission now... :bandit:

Clear glue won'T eliminate the crack. You could have used a conventional glue, and weld the pieces together. Then, remove the excess plastic, and polish the surface. The crack won't go away, but the surface will be smooth, so you can use metallic red, coated with clear red and clear top coat to simulate the tail light.
