NOS question

what do you have to do to put NOS in a '98 Z-24?
do you get wet or dry?
are there certain things i should get? ect...

You may want to look into some stronger engine components first. but JCWhitney has some NitrosOxide kits that come with all the "components". I dont know how to install a nos kit but im sure there are tutorials. I'll try and find some for you.

check on the net for Nitrous kits for four cylinders, cost you around 800-1000 for a decent full kit though and then there is install

also note( PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE) research on nitrous aLOT before you go shoot it off. Had to drive some kids car home after he shot nitrous off going 20 in 3rd gear and then slammed on teh brakes. it wasn't good

To run a 50-75 shot safely, 93 or better octane gas, 1-2 step colder plugs and get a wet kit. You should also get a Fuel pressure gauge, and a simple narrow band A/F gauge ( so when you at WOT make sure the green LED is pegged into the green since the computer is in open loop this is when the gauge is accurate, if it goes outside that range you know to stop spraying because something isn't right). Your baisic NX, ZEX, Venom, Or Nitrous Oxide Systems ( NOS ) which retails around 450-550 will get the job done. If you really want to take full effect of your nitrous, Bottle warmer, purge kits, remote bottle openers and blow down tubes are good ideas but thats what brings the cost of the kits to about $1,000 or higher. If you want to run a higher shot than that, some fuel mods are required and also some timing retard. If you only want to run say a 35-40-50 shot a dry kit is fine. Ours cars automatically adjust the fuel pressure to make up for the introduction of nitrous enough to cover the smaller shots.

that is alot of risk of blowing up my engine and the cost keeps getting higher as i look into this.....plus now that i think about it my parents prolly would not let me get this cuz they would know i was racing my car and that is not somthing you want your parents knowing

well thats probably why its in the game need for speed underground 2, but how does it show everyone you have nos, can you see it from outside the car?? oh yeah you can!! thats why you mount the purge kit in a place so that when you purge the system you can see it. just like you mentioned need for speed same thing with the real stuff. you can also get LED purge kits so at nitght the purged nos will show up color. pretty cool if you ask me.

It rids the line of the Nitrous in the gasous state so it deliveres it in the liquid form. So when you hit the button, your getting the full shot potential instead of just the gas. Think of it as a propane tank. Propane when under pressure is in a liquid form and when it heats up and has a chance to come out of that state in contact with air it goes into a gas.

Till you need that 50 shot in a race and shoot it only to have a dirty shot and only get 50% of the boost, you can have it spray anywere, knew a guy who had it in his inside vent, not very smart but
