head deck randomly on?

i have an old alpine tape player in my nissan and it will randomly turn on. it seemed to work fine when i bought the car but now it wont respond to any button i press other than the power button. this is seriously annoying because the volume is up loud and i have to constantly take my eyes off the road to turn it off. any ideas?

that 100-200 dollars is going into my manual conversion and lsd install. i dont have a job either, so money is something i dont have. i guess il just take the fucker out.

Check ground and power cables.

yea, take it out and get a good look at it ... you can inspect the wiring better when it's removed too
