Just a quick question all:

What Y-Pipe is the best, for the $ and won't sound like a bunch of bees. I am hearing good things about the Warpspeed TIG Y pipe...... I would like everyones' opinions. Could I chng out my stock Y with one of these after market ones, and change the CAT while still passing Strict emissions tests?

i would recommend a budget. they are cheap, stainless steel, and have awesome power gains. if your car is warmed up and driven for like 30min befor emissions testing you will be fine

Budget does. Here's the website. http://www.budgetexhaust.com/ :) All their prices are posted in candian dollars so don't forget to convert it.
Most of the y-pipes will yield the same amount of power. Some people have had some noise problems with the mandrel bent budgets I think. You might want to do a search on the org to find out more, but don't ask cause there's a bunch of jerks there ready to flame you if you ask anything. I have an aluminized steel non-mandrel bent warpspeed and I like it. I haven't had any problems. A stainless steel will probably last longer, but that's ok. I don't live in a part of the country that worries about corrosion so I went with the aluminized steel to save some money. Good luck.

Hey,
I have been hanging around maxima.org and what is the deal with the flames? You are right. The 4th Gen moderator is a jerk, and I'm being nice. Anyway glad to find this group, maybe it will be a little more fun to hang around in. I've asked some of what I though were valid questions and just got flames in return. Not any fun.

hahaha yeah its a regular flame war over there thanks to a few dipshits, namely sprintmax. Anyhow, I called Budget on thursday and talked to the tech for about 10 minutes about to buy their ypipe. To make a long story short, anyone in california should wait till January. They are making a cali version with a built in bypass of one of the precat sensors so we will finally see the gains of the fed spec ypipe. He didn't mention anything about raising the price either. You can buy the extra kit for $50 canadian from them if you already have a cali ypipe. They also sell the bpipe with and w/o resonators for $230 canadian I believe. I'll get back to you guys in Jan.
