Broken Motor Mount?

I'm pretty sure that's my problem, I was hearing a clunk when starting the engine, now it's clunk plus a horrible whine like the fan or the belts are rubbing.
My question is how many motor mounts does the Intrigue have (3.5L) and where is a good place to purchase them? I'm looking at auto parts stores online and I can only fine a right rear engine mount, there's got to be more then one mount right? Thanks!

You have one right under the hood on top. Thats the cheapest one. Ran me less than $10 I think. It is basically a bushing with a rubber coating. You will have to drive the old one out and press the new one in. Very easy to get off the car. I little work to get the old one out and new one in. It can be done.
As far as underneath. You will probably have to order the bottom one. My quote to replace the top one mentioned above and the bottome one was over $400. I did the top one myself, and I truly think the bottom one is ok. I bet yours is to unless you have seen it for your own eyes.

Is this what your referring to on top - Torque Strut (http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductDetail.aspx?mfrcode=PIO&mfrpartnumber=632716&parttype=29&ptset=A) - , that looks simple if that's the case, how can you tell if it's gone bad? Thanks for your help!

That indeed is a picture of the front engine strut mount, but you don't need that whole piece. You just need the rubber coated bushing inside the cylinder end (end bolted to the motor). Now if that mount is broke, you would need that piece, but if that mount broke, your should be looking for more parts to replace than just that, I would think.

My clunk went away and the engine started to make a grinding noise with a bit of belt squeell. I had my dad take a look and he said it was NOT the motor mounts, and he thought it was either the Water pump or the AC making the viberations and grinding noise/ squelling that had developed. I took it to the shop this morning and confirmed it was the A/C gone bad. They wanted 1200 dollars to fix it so I said no thank you. I asked if they could By pass it, but they said they could not find a belt to fix without the AC pully.
Now the A/C is ice cold, so it must be the bearings, I hope their is a cheap way to fix this.:banghead:
