Just stumbled ontot this forum. Got a 91 mk2 GTi. Anyone knoe of a forum more suited to the older GTi?

Is it an 8v or 16v? I've got an '86 Gti right now. The older the better, like a fine wine or cheese.

i will have to agree to that my friend....the newer they are, the slackier they become....
No offence to owners of later models :smile: , just personal oppinion

new golfs are just shopping trollies you want a real car get a old one, pacey and a hell of a lot more character, new golfs are showing their age, I.E. 30th anniversary and losing all their nice angular lines and podging out like a old man

In the least bit Bunta, they'll look better than the past two generations. I'd hope the performance would take a leap to that of an EVO or STi and still cost the same. Too bad that'll never happen. Remember that HPA R32? Faster than a Lambo, or most Ferrari, and even keeping up with a McLaren all for only $60K.
