Ive concidered building a Supra.
I'm looking for the 1993 body style or later
am i insane to want to attempt this? or is it not as difficult as ppl say?
i currently have a vehicle, so its not like i am doing this to have something to drive
i am simply doing this because i like supras and would like to own one that i fixed up
was thinking about looking around junkyards for a supra in fairly good condition, that can be fixed of course
suggestions? tell me i'm nuts?
i'm open to anything
thanx guys
Rob

No, you're not nuts. I don't really see what difficulty people are telling you. Any vehicle, when modding, is a pain. Getting it to work, now that is the real challenge. You have to know how far to go. Is it going to be driven a lot or just sit there.
As for me, I would tend to go with a later model than a 93. Just looks better and the aftermarket support is far greater. That's my .02.:D

yeah i was originally thinking of getting a 94 with a single turbo, (dont need a twin turbo) and hooking that up
rebuilding the engine, body kit, exhaust, etc...
is a junkyard a good place to find one, or am i even looking in the right place? am i going to find one there
how hard is it to locate one

fYI the change over from the single turbo older bosy style was 93.5 expect to pay for a salvage title that is rebuildible around 10,000 and up. the 93.5-98 were Twin sequential turbos, BTW japense spec engines are not that hard to come by if the engine is a wreck $2-3000 for and an engine w/around 50,000 conversion to a single turbo 3800 and up tires that fit 250 x 4 DP 299 exhaust system 5-1400. How fast do you want to go? You might be better off buying a high milage 93.5 and starting off that way. thre is a very nice black one with 140,000 check out for sale on supraforums.com( not my car)
