weird noise

my 97 cavalier is making a loud ticking noise. Its worse when you first start the car, but it sounds bad all the time. It dosen't have good pick up either. The rpm are running rough. Help please. I was told maybe the timing chain?!?!

spun bearing
im sure there is more cant think of them though.
