Mysterious noise from inside

When I'm driving my Camaro, I can hear some annoying noise from the rear left side of the car. It's like a slight metal scrub sound. It seems to me that the sound is from the strut of the hatch gate. I tried to shake the strut, but did not hear noise. I checked the rear speaker bolts, they are fine.
Does anyone has similar problem before.
Thank you.

What year is the car? Also check the scissor jack in the back sometimes the handle will rattle against the jack and make noise.

Thanks for the reply.
It's a 1996 Camaro RS. But the jack is on the right side. And I did check it, the noise is not from there.

Have someone sit in your backseat and hold things still while you are driving and it is making the noise, that way you can locate it and then fix it. We can't hear it so it's tough to diagnose a sound over the internet, also always give the year and other info about your car that can help us help you a lot better.

jack on side of your car up and spin each tire to make shure your brakes are not rubbing or a wheel bearing is going out.

I'm assuming you've checked your seals on your hatch, and that the latch is greased & tight? Could also check that nothing is rubbing on your rotor.

Thanks for the replies. I've finally found the problem after so many days of annoyance.
There is a latch to hook up the back seat. I mean the one which enables you to unfold the back seat. The noise is from there. I just wrapped the bolt with some plastic tape, and the noise is gone.
