it seems to me the lude has a slow take off , it wont spin tires at all , ive raced a sport neon , nissan max , chevy siverado , and a v6 accord and all of them spins out and takes off faster than the 97 lude but when it kicks in vtec i pass all of them but the silverado. is there anything out there to help the lude off the line ? would that apexi vtec deal help if you can make vtec kick in at 3000 without damaging the motor ?

is the lude auto or stick? if you can't spin tires with the stick, there's something severely wrong with you. the reason auto ludes can't spin tires?? as with all hondas, no torque. even the H22's hold as the torquiest 4 cylinder honda has to offer isn't enough for the heavy-ass prelude. and i've always thought a good launch is having the least spin as possible. but i know just having the ability to spin tires and not do so in a launch differs from not spinning due to the car's inability to spin tires, if that makes any sense to you. oh well. all i can say is get more torque and some grippy tires and your launches will improve, as much as it can for FWD cars. that's another thing, FWD sucks from a performance perspective. sorry to say so but it's true:bloated:

yeah mine is automatic but has the sport shift , i can rev it up and drop it in drive and spin out but when racing that slows you down more because it pauses too much and the other car is gone so i race shifting gears . im thinking bout getting nos next because it has the most bang for the buck . i also have a venom module and that didnt help at all . ive called places and one place says headers will help more than a cat-back and the other says the cat-back would help more than headers ? so mite as well get nos .
