Clerks II

Who saw it? I honestly belive i went in with too high hopes for this movie, and at first was dissappointed, but appreciated it later on. Where Clerks was about being in the 20's working a register, II was about being in your 30's, i guess, which made sense after the movie was over. I liked it, afterall, but i still think my favorite Kevin Smith movies are Dogma, Mallrats, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

I thought that they did a good job on the sequal to Clerks, I really like the new and improved Jay and Silent Bob. What about the scene where Jay does the remake of that one scene from silence of the lambs lol. All in all I really like the sequal I encourage everyone to take the time to go out and either see it or download it.

lol, it started off b/w, but changed to color after dante saw the fire. I think the color signified the change from the 20's to the 30's, their current life from that of before a decade earlier.

ahh... ok I guess thats cool...the only bad thing is that for 20's thats normal (to be working a register) but for 30's thats just sad! lol:grinyes:

i think thats why i didn't like the movie too much, (well, as much as the first. i still think it was hilarious); the whole moral thing about "what is sucess" kinda bored me. It's a theme that was overplayed, and done right in only "Good Will Hunting" (which btw was an awsome movie for those who havnt' seen it)

The american dream that dante was looking at was moving to FL, getting a house, wife kids and job, versus "settling" for what he had here, was basically the conflict that i think was overstressed, unlike the petty self-conflict he faced in 1. Still Kevin Smith wasn't making another clerks just to please us fans, i think the story behind it reflected himself in ways. himself and J.

(also, i think i've just gotten waaay too involved in the plot of this thing... goddamn english papers... make you think critically of everything)
