2005 reliability=?

hi guys i,m thinking about buying a 2005 elantra.do you believe it will last as well or better then corolla,s,etc? also,how,s the safety rating on it? every thing i read says they,re great cars.but i notice the used elantra,s on the internet ain,t got alot of miles on them. what,s up with that?
