I been having a problem with a rattle in the front end of my 98 durango when hitting bumps. It seems to be coming from the driver-side. It will really rattle driving on a washboard road. The rattle will go away if I apply the brakes. I have already replaced the shocks and brakes pads. I read on other forum about a Dodge TSB about this issue, but I can't find any other info on what it is. Could someone please help me.
Thanks
Thanks

Is it a rattle or a sound like an "erk erk" noise?
If it's erking,

No, it is more of a rattle. I though it may have been a lose brade pad, so I replace them. However, the rattle is still there. I will try your idea though.

I have a rattle also , seems to come from rear passenger side, definitely rattle not erk.Checked every where the only thing I see is leaf springs have a loose piece on them but dont really make the same noise when I hit them, seem like they should be weld on not sure.I think I will just lube everything in sight.
