veedubmechanic, need assistance again...

I had posted about 97 jetta who's dashboard locking button would not work.You told me to check pump in trunk. The white hose that leads from back of trunk is connected.I did not pull styro. box out.If I press either lock or unlock and wait,after 15 sec. I can hear the pump click again. Any Ideas? I do not hear a sound from door locks though. Thanks again for your help!

if the line was disconnected in a door, you would hear a sucking noise really loud. If it does make the loud noise than pull off the door pannel and check the line and see if its broken.
Disconnect the line at the pump motor and lock/unlock the doors and see if it sucks/blows. If it doesnt, than disconnect the electrical connector and look for corrosion. Replace if there is.
