1996 XKR Supercharger issues

Hi All,
First post in the Jaguar forum and i'm asking a question on behalf of a friend of mine. There is a tensioner spring in the supercharger which is prone to breaking. I believe this may have broken and the supercharger is extremely noisy. Having spokent to the local Jaguar agent, Chris has been told that this is an unserviceable item and the supercharger has to be replaced. Does anyone out there who knows if this can in fact be replaced. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I am almost positive that you can not buy that part seperate, its all one unit assembled in the UK then shipped over.
