Ok so after changing one of my axles, i needed to add tranny fluid to my tranny. I tried to bust open the 17mm fill bolt but with no luck...the bolt is pretty much stripped on all sides. Damn i hate that bolt and the fact that all my wrenches strip it and my sockets dont fit it. So since i cant take that fill bolt off...do you recommend i just drain the tranny and refill throught the VSS with the correct amount? i DO NOT want to overfill...last time that left me with a busted tranny seal. So what is the correct amount? Like 1.6 q? Or do you know anyway i can take off that stripped bolt? Any detailed help would be appreciated, thanks.

obviously you need to replace the drain bolt anyways. Try soaking the bolt with liquid wrench and use handy dandy vice grip. A man's best friend!! Hope it works.

Do you think vice grips would hold the bolt tight enough? Its torqued down pretty damn tight and i dont want to strip it even more with vice grips.

I would think that you need to replace the filler bolt. You can get one from Honda for $5 or so. As long as you soak the bolt in any liquid lub, tap it with a hammer a few times, it should come out using a vice grip. I took out some stubborn bolts and nuts with a vice grip. Hence I call in the man's best friend.

Get a half inch impact gun and call it a day.

I was finally able to bust it using a monkey wrench with a long pipe extension with the car jacked up real high off the ground. Screw the dumbass who tightened the bolt...thanks for all the help.
