changing the plentum

i just bought a new plentum from ken co in canada but found out later serval parts stores have this part all saying theirs is the best mine came complet with gaskets& ect but i need someone walk me through the replacing of it do i drain the raditor is any bolts real hard to get to how does the things on each end come off i know one it throdle boty i can see bolts but other end what is it & how does it come off do i have to take off egr valve to get it out please help me imm a shade tree mecanick can do most anything but just dont want to mess up thanks world

Welcome to AF.You need a basic shop manual here, it is impractical to walk you thru this step by step, looking at the job, if you are capable of doing this you should be able to see what is required. You may do a search on this site for upper "Plenum" on a 3800,, there may be some procedural info.

What year is this LeSabre? I've got a complete procedure to do the UIM (plenum) and LIM on a Series II 3800 and it covers the EGR stovepipe.

Jackpot! Send me a PM with your regular email address and I will send a procedure with TSBs, pics, part listing and applicable SM repair data as an attachment. On the '97 - '98 you should check for possible EGR stovepipe damage which is covered in the documentation. It will be a large Adobe PDF file.
