radio wiring on 96 cavalier

i need help figuring out which is the radio ignition and the back speakers i have a 96 cavalier no radio plug and i figured out the front speakers i can only turn on my radio when the headlights are on nedd a little help just cant get used to turnin on the lights to listen to musik so help me out people i beg of you!!!!!!!! aim me or msn me even call me ask me 4 my number on aim i need help badly!!!!!!!

the aftermarket headunit should be able to hook up to your stock harness with and aftermarket harness.


EDIT: ok now that you stated in the other thread that you dont have a stock harness this makes more sense to me. what i would do is go to a junk yard and find a stock harness chop it off there and then soder it back onto your car. that way you have the actual plugs and you dont have to worry about figuring out what every single wire is.

^ i dont know if you read where i edited my first post #2 in this thread. go and find the stock harness for your car and then soder that on. after you get the stock harness back on then your life will become a hell of alot easier. that way you can just buy the aftermarket harness and be on your way.

I have the wire harness for my "96 cavalier. I am trying to install an aftermarket cd/radio. Is there anything I should know? My orginal radio had no cd player or cassett, just a radio.

I am sure you did. Since then I have gotten the wire harness but have yet to install. I thought you or someone else may have some advice before I start.
Is there a way for me to learn this forum? Thus far it has been helpful on a number of issues.
I was thinking about selling my car but after reading some of these posts I am thinking otherwise. Some of the cars are fantastic!
