'97 - Parking/Emergency Brake light comes on when..

'97 Cavalier (4dr) - 104k miles
Whenever I accelerate with much force or turn hard, the parking brake light comes on. When I come to a stop or near stop & let off the brake, the light goes off.
Also another problem, not sure if it's related, but it's been happening awhile. When I release the brake, there's a pop (very annoying). I think I read somewhere that it's not a major problem, but want to make sure.
Any help on the first issue would be appreciated :grinyes:

Just a guess here, but the break light might come on not only telling you the parking break is on, but also to tell you the break fluid is low. So going around a corner could trip the sensor. Its worth a shot to pop the hood and make sure your break fluid is up to full. Like I said, its just a guess.

That sounds like a likely answer, Just guessing also, if they doesn't fix the problem, how are your rear brakes? Might wanna consider replacing them. Could be a faulty wire going to your e-brake? Or maybe something's off with the e-brake sensor? The connection maybe? :dunno: just guessing

its definitely a fluid issue.
if its not, check that the e-brake wire harness thing is plugged in securely
