Same suspension as ranger?

I have a 1994 explorer 4x4 and i have been looking to lifting it for off-road use. i haven't found many good lift kits, but a lot of companies advertise the explorer and ranger together on their websites. so my question is: is the suspension on the explorer the same as the ranger of a similar year?

I know the front ends are the same. I replaced one. I would not lift a Explorer of this year since the suspension is real unique. The front end scissors to get independant front suspension and be 4x4. You can only lift tit like 2 inches before it hits stuff. Stuff goes through and around and etc. It is not designed to be lifted. Sell it and by somethign else and lift it. You will be glad you did.

really? where did u hear that? im just wondering becuase ive been asking around and somenoe on another forum said the front suspension is the same on the ranger if i get the right year

I never siad it was different. I siad it was unique compared to other kinds of trucks.
